In most dance settings, dancers have to audition to perform. This can lead to a competitive environment where dancers have little agency and can often be excluded. Not at SDC! We want performance - one of the most exciting parts of dance - to be open to anyone who has the passion, drive, and commitment. That’s why we put the dancers in the driver’s seat! 

How it works:

Attend a Kick-off party where you’ll meet the season’s choreographers, hear about their vision, and learn a short section of choreography. The following day, online registration opens and it’s first-come, first-served. Sign up for 1-4 dances of your choice! If a dance fills up, you’ll get your second choice option. Once you receive your schedule, you can pay your tuition online and then show up at the first rehearsal. It’s that easy. No audition required!
